Why businesses pay their taxes with Chexy.

    Rewards on your tax bill

Tax is often the biggest bill a business pays. Put it on your card and earn rewards on all of it.

    Keep your cash longer

The CRA is paid on the due date. Your card bill comes about a month later, so the cash stays in your business.

    Always pay on time

Short on cash when tax is due? Your card covers it, so the CRA is paid on the due date and you avoid interest on a late payment.

    A deductible fee

Most businesses can write off the fee. For a small business in Ontario, that brings 1.99% as low as 1.75% after tax.

Set it up once. Then let it pay itself.

    1. 1

Add the CRA bill to Chexy.

    2. 2

Paste your Chexy Wallet details into your CRA account.

    3. 3

      Put it on repeat.

Schedule every payment at once, so you never have to think about it again.

    CRA questions.

    Is the fee tax deductible?

For most businesses, yes. It’s a business expense, like a bank or card fee. For a small business in Ontario, writing it off brings 1.99% as low as 1.75% after tax. Your accountant has the final say.

Do I need my CRA login?

Yes, your own login, once. A representative can’t set up a pre-authorized debit for a business, so the owner signs in to My Business Account. After that, payments run on the dates you picked.

Why do I add the payment in Chexy too?

The CRA takes the money from your Chexy Wallet. Adding the same amount and date in Chexy is how your card pays for it.

How far ahead should I set it up?

At least 5 business days before the due date. You’re responsible for the CRA being paid on time.

Can a personal card pay the corporation’s tax?

Yes. Any Canadian-issued card. The payment still goes to the corporation’s CRA account.

    What does my accountant get?

A confirmation for every payment and a monthly statement with CSV export.
